Stories of Healing
Jim's Story
"If you've got to go for treatment, I can't think of a better place, better
service. I mean it was just top notch from the
very opening to the very end. My doctor always had
plenty of time to meet, discuss not only the aspects of my physical
condition and treatment results, but anything else. You never had the
feeling that this guy's got 15 minutes for me and then when that's up he's
got somebody else waiting in line. I mean if we
spent 35-45 minutes, no problem. If we wanted to
talk about golf, Asian food, whatever the subject, he had all the time in
the world to talk, listen, and consult. I just
never felt that there was any time pressure. Now
the technicians run on a tight schedule, they've got a patient coming in
every 15 minutes but you're not waiting, you're in and out, it's
professionally done. And that's what you're
looking for when you're receiving any kind of particular treatment; but with
consultation, all the time in the world to discuss any topic with the
oncologist. I couldn't recommend it more
highly. There's no reason why most people can't live a normal
life, carry on in what they have been doing and with almost no feeling of
having cancer, to the very end of treatment. But the ROA people made it so
easy for me and so matter-of-fact and so professional that it was worth the
hour and a half drive each way from the east mountains every day for 44 days
to take care of my cancer. There's a lot of time
involved, but once I got there, I was in and out in 15 or 20 minutes, with
all the professional support you might hope for.
There was none of this showing up in the doctor's office with a crowd of
people in the waiting room, and waiting for 30 to 40 minutes just to be seen
and then they rush you out on the conveyor belt in 15 minutes.
They have just a whole different approach to treatment and it's the type of approach that you usually don't hear about when people talk about any kind of medical treatment. A++ for the whole team, that's my assessment."
