"The tumor I had was a very rare tumor that had to be treated like cancer, and I had the radiation therapy to kill any of the cells that were remaining after my surgery.

I thought that the people at Radiation Oncology Associates were very helpful and absolutely wonderful during my treatment.  You go in feeling concerned and nervous and so on, and they were excellent in letting me know what was going on and the treatment I was getting.

They were very good in keeping me informed during the treatment process--about the details in everything that they were doing--and why they were doing what they were doing.

When I first went in, I hardly knew anything about my condition and about the treatment process.  After the surgery for removal of the tumor, I wasn't knowledgeable about what was going to happen next, or any of the subsequent treatment.  But once I got together with the people at ROA I felt like all of that changed.  They were totally instrumental in letting me know was going on and why and what was happening.

They were always concerned as to how I was feeling and doing and everything that was going on with me during the treatment process, which was a rather long time.  I had 31 radiation shots over a many, many week period, but they were excellent in keeping me informed as the treatment went on.

The people operating the equipment were just so warm and friendly and caring and concerned. Just looking forward to seeing them was really positive for me."
