Stories of Healing
Mary's Story
"The people at ROA are the greatest people on earth. I'll tell you they were
so kind and so good to me that I can't say anything bad about it. It just
went so well. Everything went really well. So, I think it all went so well,
I don't think I have one complaint. Everybody that I've told can't believe
me, that I never felt pain and I never took one pill. I couldn't believe it
was painless.
Well, they told me that I would take 30 days of radiation and boy, I was dreading that! And then my doctor told me about this research program. She said, 'Now, I'm not sure you can get on there, but we'll try.' And of course, I got in the program and it went very well.
I just couldn't get over how nice they were. I've never dealt with such wonderful people before.
My advice for other cancer patients is don't give up hope. When I found out I had cancer, I was like, oh my goodness, you know? But everything came out so good. I had a mammogram a short time ago and my doctor said, 'You don't have to come back for a year.' Now that's very encouraging."
